New Delhi. Women’s workwear has changed drastically. Today formal and daily wear for work has become more vibrant and vibrant.

However, the pandemic has brought a big change in the segment which has shifted from the standard of ‘work uniform’ to professional comfort wear.

Rupanshi, Founder, Kwa says, “Given the current situation, consumers are likely to work from home for the foreseeable future. Key categories like work-leisure which are trans-seasonal will come to the fore. During the lockdown, we saw Our sales have grown tremendously as consumers are moving towards year-round comfortable workwear by slow fashion brands.”

In addition to classic shirts, pantsuits and trousers, Kwa caters to women’s workwear needs by adding flowy dresses, statement-sleeved shirts and comfy co-ords.

So what’s the forecast in the coming months?

After several months of lockdown, consumers have invested more in comfort-wear and work and leisure, and expect them to be styled in a way that fits between professional and personal environments. The coming months will see a return to the relaxed approach and this is going to be a year of rest on the trend.

According to Rupanshi, “Amidst the chaos of the pandemic, nothing seems more appropriate and comfortable than soft fabrics like cotton, viscose and linen. With the change in lifestyle, the demand for functionality and versatility in workwear will take priority. Waist-up Dressing will continue which will be dominated by detailing like statement sleeves, necklines and exclusive jewellery.”

Puff sleeves, power shoulders, ruchi and knot details, contemporary collars, wide-legged and cotton-lined pants, pantsuits in vibrant colours, oversized shirts and minimalistic jewelery will reinvigorate workwear and empower women while working from home.
