Chennai . The Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly session will begin from June 21 at 10 am at Kalaivanar Arangam. This was announced by Speaker M. Appavu.
The proceedings of the assembly will begin with the address of Governor Banwarilal Purohit.
The Speaker said that all MLAs and Vidhan Sabha officers will have to undergo a COVID test and only those found negative will be allowed to attend the session.
According to a statement from the Speaker’s office, the Business Advisory Committee will meet after the Governor’s address to decide how many days the House will sit.
The Speaker’s office said there was no possibility of a question-and-answer session. The statement said that the live telecast of the proceedings of the Assembly, which was a promise in the DMK’s election manifesto, is under consideration.
Chief Minister M.K. Stalin also met the Governor on Wednesday to discuss the proceedings of the House ahead of the session.
