Method-

To make halwa, first heat a cup of ghee and fry 5 cashews, 5 almonds and 2 tbsp raisins and fry the dry fruits till golden brown and keep them aside.

Now add grated bottle gourd and fry for 5 minutes. Fry till the bottle gourd shrinks slightly and changes colour. Now add half a cup of milk to it and mix well. Cook for 10 minutes or till the milk thickens and the bottle gourd is completely cooked. Then add sugar to it and mix well. Boil it till the sugar melts or for about 5 minutes.

On the other hand, prepare to make khoya. For this, heat a spoonful of ghee and a quarter cup of milk in a pan. Now add half a cup of milk powder to it and mix it well. Keep mixing it till the mixture starts leaving the pan. You keep stirring it continuously. Your estate khoya is ready.

Now add khoya to the bottle gourd mixture and mix well. Keep stirring it till the mixture thickens. Add roasted nuts and tsp cardamom powder. Mix well. Finally, take out the bottle gourd halwa in a bowl and serve it hot.
