On the basis of the data of the Kovin App, the Central Government said that 33.95 percent of the doses of vaccines in Jharkhand were wasted, while the Jharkhand government claimed that the wastage of vaccines in the state has come down from 4.5 percent to just 1.5 percent in the last two weeks. Anjaneyulu Dode, the nodal officer for the vaccination campaign for Kovid-19 in Jharkhand, said that on the letter written by the Jharkhand government in this regard, the officials of the Union Health Ministry held a meeting with the four affected states, including Jharkhand, through video conferencing. Jharkhand has got the right to correct its figures on Wednesday and under this consent, the work of correcting it has been started.
In Jharkhand, 38.45 percent wastage of these vaccines was said on the Central Government’s Covin App till May 27, whereas in contrast the total wastage of vaccines in the state was only 4.65 percent, far less than the country’s average. Jharkhand’s Additional Chief Secretary (Health) Arun Singh said that on Thursday, a letter was written to the Union Health Ministry in this regard, asking that the central government should immediately correct its figures on the Kovin app.
