Jharkhand: Central-state governments face to face on the waste of Kovid vaccine, data will be updated on Kovin App

Ranchi: In Jharkhand, once again the central and state governments are face-to-face over the wastage of corona vaccine. Earlier on May 28, after the Jharkhand government’s written objection to the Central Government’s ‘wrong’ data regarding the alleged wastage of Kovid-19 vaccines, the Central Government called for a quick rectification of these figures and soon the Kovin App for the same. But the right to correct the figures was also assured to the states.

Anjaneyulu Dode, the nodal officer for the vaccination campaign for Kovid-19 in Jharkhand, said that on the letter written by the Jharkhand government in this regard, the officials of the Union Health Ministry held a meeting with the four affected states, including Jharkhand, through video conferencing. Jharkhand has got the right to correct its figures on Wednesday and under this consent, the work of correcting it has been started.

In Jharkhand, 38.45 percent wastage of these vaccines was said on the Central Government’s Covin App till May 27, whereas in contrast the total wastage of vaccines in the state was only 4.65 percent, far less than the country’s average. Jharkhand’s Additional Chief Secretary (Health) Arun Singh said that on Thursday, a letter was written to the Union Health Ministry in this regard, asking that the central government should immediately correct its figures on the Kovin app.
