Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya: 11 thousand examination centers, 24 lakh students will take the exam

New Delhi. After the second wave of Corona, now the Union Education Ministry is preparing to conduct a major examination related to school admission. This exam will be conducted for selection in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas across the country. More than 24 lakh students will participate in this exam. This is the only examination after the Corona wave which will be taken at more than 11 thousand examination centers across the country. While sharing information in this regard, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that students will be selected for admission in class six for the session 2021-22 in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas of all states and union territories. For this Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya will take the selection test on August 11. This exam will be conducted following all the safety precautions and protocols related to COVID 19. The examination will be conducted at 11,182 centers for the selection of 47,320 candidates. 2,41,7009 candidates have registered for the selection test.

Earlier, the third session of JEE Mains examinations started across the country from Tuesday. These examinations will start from July 20 and will run till July 27. During this 7 lakh 9529 students will take this exam. According to the Ministry of Education, in view of Corona, this time these examinations are being conducted in 334 cities, whereas earlier these examinations were to be conducted in 232 cities.

It is worth noting that the state governments can take a decision on the basis of consultation with the school managements to reopen the schools. According to the Ministry of Education, after the order of the Union Home Ministry, guidelines have been issued for the reopening of schools in a graded manner. For this, the state government can take a decision based on the assessment of the situation in consultation with the respective school managements.

Accordingly, the Department has prepared and disseminated Standard Operating Procedures and Guidelines for reopening of schools with physical, social distancing in all States and Union Territories. This information was given by the Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in the Lok Sabha on Monday.
