Islamabad| The daughter of a former Pakistan diplomat was beheaded after the young woman refused to have a relationship. Bol News reported that the victim was identified as 27-year-old Noor Mukkadam, daughter of Shaukat Mukakam. Shaukat was Pakistan’s ambassador to South Korea and Kazakhstan.
He was stabbed and beheaded with a sharp-edged weapon after the shootout, while another person was injured in the incident, police said.
He said a friend of the girl has been arrested for her alleged involvement in the incident.
Police said the alleged killer Zaheer Jafar is the son of the CEO of a major construction company in Islamabad.
According to sources, Noor was murdered over a breakup with the accused, who could not stand her refusal to have a relationship and killed her.
According to initial reports, Noor had come to Zafar’s house on Tuesday. She was not in touch with her father since morning. Police say the alleged killer is a drug addict and has mental problems.
Pakistan Foreign Office spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhry condemned the incident and offered condolences.
Adding the hashtag Justice for Noor on Twitter, the spokesperson wrote, “Deeply saddened by the murder of the daughter of a senior aide and former ambassador to Pakistan. Heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and I hope that the perpetrator of this heinous crime will be brought to justice.
