Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has written to the Health Department that the people doing home delivery work in various online companies should be vaccinated on priority basis. Delhi has now got the vaccine for people in the age group of 18-44 years and has now started the vaccination campaign for the age group of 18-44. A large part of the population living in Delhi also has agents doing the work of home delivery, which is very important. The job of a home delivery agent is to go from door to door and during this time they meet many people throughout the day.
In this era of Corona, these delivery agents are in more danger. Delivery agents are ensuring that people stay at their homes and avoid going to crowded markets. Keeping in mind the door-to-door visits and meeting multiple people throughout the day, it was decided to introduce the vaccine to the delivery agents at the earliest.
The Deputy Chief Minister has directed the Health Department to contact companies like Amazon, Flipkart, Zomato, Swiggy, Dunzo etc. and ensure that all the people doing the delivery work with them should be vaccinated.
