Bhopal. In Madhya Pradesh, after the mention of caste in front of the names of the members in the BJP’s State Working Committee list, the caste details had to be removed and a new working committee list has been issued. Along with the names of Congress office-bearers, there was also a taunt on the caste. BJP state president Vishnu Dutt Sharma released the list of permanent invitees and working committee members. There are 23 permanent invitees, 162 working committee members and 217 special invitees in this list. The caste of everyone was mentioned in the list released by the party. When this came to the fore, there was a stir in the political corridor, then the party changed it, another list was issued in which caste is not mentioned.

The list of BJP’s working committee mentioning caste in front of the names of permanent invitees, working committee members and special invitees came on social media late on Tuesday night, shortly after the party had to change it.

State Congress President Kamal Nath’s media coordinator Narendra Saluja took a jibe at the removal of caste from the list of BJP’s working committee and tweeted that it is good that the Bharatiya Janata Party removed the caste column from the list of office bearers of the state executive, no. So it had become ‘Bharatiya caste party’.

Caste has not been mentioned in front of the office bearers of any political party before now, for the first time such an incident has come to the fore, raising the question whether it was part of someone’s conspiracy or someone has made a mistake. (IANS)
