hear the news

Under the special scheme issued by the Central Board of Secondary Education for the examination of class X-XII, the first term-1 examination is to be held in November. Schools are preparing Multiple Choice Questions Bank for better performance of the children in this exam. The purpose of the schools behind creating such banks is to familiarize the children with the pattern of the board.

Under this scheme, the examination of children is to be conducted online or offline. However, it will depend on the third wave of the corona epidemic. Before this, the schools will conduct the examination on the lines of pre-board at their level, in which their examination will be taken in the multiple choice question format only.

Vandana Kapoor, principal of DAV School, Mausam Vihar, said that under this scheme, the first term-1 exam is to be taken between November-December 2021. Preparations are being made for this from now on because this scheme is new for children as well as schools.

Multiple choice questions are to be asked in the exam. So we are creating Multiple Choice Quenching Bank. So that the children can be introduced to them. On the pre-board pattern, we will take an exam in September in which only multiple choice questions will be kept. Sample question banks will also be given to the children for preparation. So that they can be ready for the examination to be conducted by the board in November.

Swapna Nair, principal of Arvachin International School, Dilshad Garden, said that in view of the scheme of the board, we have divided 100% syllabus into two parts. 50-50 percent part has also been divided into pieces. We have started this preparation from July. Out of 50% part, multiple choice question based sample paper is being prepared. Based on this, the examination will be taken before the start of the November examination. So that the children are familiar with the pattern of the exam.

It is noteworthy that in view of the fear of the third wave of Corona, CBSE had announced a special scheme for the Class X-XII 2022 board exams in the first week of July. Under this scheme, examination will be held twice with 50-50 per cent syllabus.

The first term-1 exam is to be held in November-December 2021. There will be multiple choice case based MCQs and reasoning multiple choice questions. The test for each paper will be of 90 minutes. CBSE will send the question paper to the schools only. The exam will also take place where the students are studying. Students have to answer on OMR sheet. Which the schools will scan and upload on the CBSE portal.

Compulsory reservation roster rule will have to be implemented in teacher recruitment from 2021 in 106 technical institutes including all IITs, IIMs, IISc, NITs, IIITs in the country.

That is, the seats of teachers will be reserved under the rules of SC, ST, OBC, EWS, Girls quota etc. of the central government in these legendary institutions of the country. There is a provision of one teacher for 10 students in these institutions. Till now, instead of reservation, professional merit was considered as the basis in teacher recruitment and promotion.

The Union Education Ministry last week directed all these technical institutions to strictly implement the mandatory reservation roster rule in teaching recruitment. It is written in the letter sent to all the institutions that the reservation roster will have to be prepared from the Central Educational Institutions (Reservation of Teachers) Act, 2019.

The reservation rule was not being implemented in teacher recruitment in these institutions even after repeated requests from the ministry. In such a situation, the government has now warned that for this session i.e. 2021, teacher recruitment should be done on the basis of reservation roster and instructions have also been given to send its report.

Not in teacher recruitment on reservation rule in admission
In admission to these 106 major technical educational institutions aided by the central government, the students are allotted seats under the reservation rules and merits of the central government. However, the reservation rule is not applied in the recruitment of teachers. There have been conflicts between the IIMs and the ministry on this issue many times in the past.

Provision of one teacher for 10 students
All 23 IITs and IIMs in the country have a provision of one teacher per 10 students as per international standards. Its purpose is that the quality of education of the legendary institute should not be affected due to shortage of teachers. At the same time, in normal institutions, there is one teacher for 20 students.

Rules will be applicable from assistant to professor
Under the new instructions of the government, now the reservation roster rule will be applicable in all these institutions from assistant to professor post. For example, from new recruitment to the post of Assistant, Associate Professor, Professor and Professor (HAG), there will be a provision for reservation in promotion.
